Posting music on pmwarner.com became confusing as I published a variety of content. Now as pmwarner is basically Mainsail Agency –this has become a little bit of a ghost site, and I’d like to start it up again. One thing I’ll be adding is music posts.
It’s a hobby, it’s definitely not a money maker but its something that allows me to step away from work 100%. I think without music in my life I wouldn’t be half an effective professional.
I’ll be posting music and marketing updates as well, but honestly, with all th AI bulls*** out there right now, it can wait. I am an analytics-focused marketer and will be sure to share case studies as we go forward.
M1 is one of those tracks that straddle the line between wanting to dance, listen or just… drive.
I wanted to create a track that just allowed the listener to be. Or even take you somewhere far away. It is winding a road into the sky. I hope I succeeded.

M1 Lyrics
easing into the warm night
nothing ever feels so right
yes i like it
I like it
thinking about all you said
playing with thoughts in my head
and i like it
i like it
no answers here
just the silence
the stars have seen — everything
only witness to our nighttime scenes
the nightscape falls in time
shadows obscure all our crimes
and i like it
i like it
moonlight sweeping outside rooms
washing midnight sins from you
and i like it
oh i like it
no answers here
just the silence
the stars have seen — everything
just remember we’re a blip on the screen
where are we now
are we now
are we now
we’ll wake up some other day instead
(were we ever here before
i don’t remember anymore
we can ask the skies above
are the stars your only love)
where are we now
are we now
are we now
we’ll wake up some other day instead

Every now and then I wake up in the middle of the night and think about things – too much. I have no idea why. It doesn’t always happen, but enough that I wanted to write a dance song about it. In the middle of the night, there is nothing you can do and the worry seems so needless, yet so important. The funny thing is, whatever is being obsessed over can usually be resolved during the day, but your brain wants it resolved RIGHT now and goes over and over every single option. Drives me nuts. Here’s the track – it’s a good one.
Dance song 2AM is one of the best tracks I’ve put together. I’m getting more proficient at mixing and mastering. I’m still learning the ins and outs of proper compression and there are some EQ issues that crop up, but for the most part the tracks are starting to sound more polished. I just make one or two stupid mistakes on each, rather than the usual myriad.
A Little Song isn’t an ideal title, but it is exactly that.
A Little Song by p.m.warner
It doesn’t exactly scream, I HAVE to listen to this. But I hope you do.
The melody came to me in a dream and kept repeating itself at odd moments. In other words, it wouldn’t go away. At some point, words started to present themselves. If you need a moment to chill or just to get away for the moment, that is what this song can do for you.
Get lost in a simple tune. Perfect for your weekend afternoon.
A Little Song – Lyrics
breath
…thinking about you
not feeling alone
something about it
can’t let it go
what is happening
don’t want to go home
now you might hear me
thru this silly poem
now here’s a little song stuck inside my heart
the notes have played inside for a while
an invitation to play and dance again
we know we’re joining all the shimmering stars tonight
we gotta start somewhere
ahead is a road
lost without you
don’t want to (go) alone
what are we doing
rise with the sun
what does god say
not the only one
now here’s a little song stuck inside my heart
the notes have played inside for a while
an invitation to play and dance again
know we’re joining all the shimmering stars tonight
embracing the universe
is an endless surprise
no need to understand
all the mysteries of life
now here’s a little song stuck inside my heart
the notes have played inside for a while
an invitation to play and dance again
we know we’re joining all the shimmering stars tonight
Original electronic pop song Diamonds is posted below for your listening pleasure.
This original electronic pop has bounced around in the folders for awhile. I decided to force myself to post it because I liked the honesty of the lyrics. The song itself or melody and arrangement could have used more work, but the fussing wasn’t worth it. This original electronic pop is what it is – warts and all. Much like the words.
No matter where we are in life, I’m sure we’ve all looked back at something we regret. It’s a univeral theme and I often wonder why those thoughts are more sticky then, say, a really enjoyable memory. (And why at 2 a.m.?????)
Anyway, I hope I’ve captured that in this original electronic pop song – and I hope you let me know what you think in the comments below. Honest critiques always welcomed!
