Original SynthPop – “What Have I Become?”

Original synthpop is the term I fell on after listening to some music that reminded me of my own. I never know how to term what I make. One of the things you do learn is that marketing is important and very difficult. It’s not something I can do for myself. I do it for others, but I just can’t do it for myself!

Anyway, without further ado, may I present the latest track, “What Have I Become?”

Original Synthpop track “What Have I Become?”

Original synthpop track “What Have I Become?” is a reflection on feeling lost. Music for me is therapy and I know listening to it and connecting to other’s music helps me to get outside of my own thinking. I hope that the message, coupled with the beat are enjoyable.

Original SynthPop Track “What Have I Become?” Lyrics

when i ask what i’ve become

its a question for no one

i only hope to understand

because time will rewrite plans

while i’m searching on these roads (it’s a lonely way to go)

all i’m finding are more ghosts (they are haunting me )

i still don’t know just who I am (you really want to know)

still i try to understand (i’ve come this far alone)

do you know the way

or can you hear a melody

i feel it lingering

but i can’t see a thing

maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be

pray in dark silently

do you have to stay in tune (the band waits for your cue)

or today try something new (hope you’ll answer soon)

can you find a way

do you hear a melody

i can feel everything

can you hold me tightly

till the very end of time

i only have memories

until the last lights die

Original Dance Pop — I’ve Been Wrong

Original dance pop song I’ve Been Wrong was a cathartic piece of songwriting. I hope you enjoy.

Dance pop can be a lot of things. It’s why I have a hard time responding to the question, “What kind of music do you make?” I understand it and I know the question is genuine, but it is sometimes hard to answer. Describing a song can be difficult — for me. I hope you give it a listen. Maybe you could describe it in the comments below. (:

Original dance pop songs are a perfect vehicle to express any emotion. I create them to say things that would be out of place anywhere else. In this case, this is more focused on regret… but still hopeful in acknowledging being wrong. It’s sometimes difficult to put aside ego and look at actions in a sober light. I certainly don’t set out to hurt people but inevitably it happens. How can we reconcile this?

I leave that question to you, and hope you enjoy this original dance pop song. Thank you.

Original Dance Pop — I’ve Been Wrong — Lyrics

I’ve Been Wrong

it’s only you and i

don’t have to answer why

nor do we want to

the mystery is mine

i’m someone new today

don’t need the acolades

all i need to say

i’ve been wrong x2

about everything

No longer hard to say

i’m selfish and afraid

not everything’s OK

i’m here to try again

looking back on days

i’ve fucked up everything

well I’m here to say

I’ve been wrong x2

about everything

i’ve been wrong

i’ve hurt so many here

the real world is dear

the sounds of our past sins

are the words you need to hear

-i always think

when i die

Hope to see

everyone’s eyes

above an endless sea of gray

i can only say

i’m here

i was wrong

New Original Track – You Are Not Alone

New original track You Are Not Alone almost didn’t exist. A few days ago, I debated whether to abandon the track or to continue and publish. I decided to press forward, mostly to overcome a lot of production issues, coupled with a chorus I’m still not totally happy with. But, moving forward, I learned a lot. Especially about overloading the bass and kick, which is now remedied. Perhaps too much, but at least it won’t sound like the police are knocking on your subwoofers with a doorbuster.

New original track You Are Not Alone is pretty straightforward. It’s the first song I’ve been able to clock in at exactly three minutes. I’ve been working on making songs concise and this is a good example of the direction I’m trying to go. I would still like to slow things down a bit, and keep it short, but we’ll get there. This new original track is dedicated to anyone having a hard time and how easy it is to isolate, which is exactly what you don’t want to do. Trust me, I get it, when we’re in pain, the idea of reaching out for help seems impossible. But it is out there, and there are people who understand. Talking to somebody can make a huge difference, it’s just tough to take that first step. But if you do, it can be a game changer.

New Original Track- You Are Not Alone – Lyrics

You Are Not Alone

on the surface now you seem like you are fine

but your demons are hiding in plain sight

hurt and pain are masked by your smiling eyes

putting on a front like this is life

all by yourself the night is sometimes hard to bear

the voices start to get so loud, they’re only things you hear

you don’t have to do this alone

it’s not something to do on your own

circling around you like hungry wolves at night

all your thoughts of hope have gone dark inside

by yourself the night is sometimes hard to bear

the screaming’s become so damn  loud, and you think that no one cares

you don’t have to do this alone

it’s not something to do on your own

reach out for a hand you might not see right now

but it’s how you’ll pull through the dark, this crushing mess somehow

reach out for a hand you might just see right through

but it’s how you’ll ignore the dark, find someone here for you

you don’t have to do this alone

it’s not something to do on your own

Original Indie Dance Pop Song #losing – Listen Now

Original Indie Dance Pop — #losing

Listen to original indie dance pop track #losing right here. We’ve all experienced some losing in our life. It’s part of the deal. And sometimes it makes no sense. SoundCloud below.

For those of you who like to know lyrics of this original indie dance pop song, they are below.

The track originated from one of those days where everything was going wrong and I had to stop and take an assessment of why. And you know what, sometimes there is a why, and sometimes there just isn’t. I realize my actions result in many of the issues (I create my own problems, I get it) BUT sometimes there is just randomness in how life chooses to roll, and I have to accept that. And it’s sometimes really disappointing. This whole post is becoming a little self indulgent, so I’ll stop there. Artwork is by me.

I hope you enjoy the song and connect with what it’s trying to say.

#losing — An original indie dance pop song lyrics

I

I’m good at losing things

And I mean everything

Including you

Life

Has a funny way

Of throwing twists and turns

Don’t know why

In midnight silence dear

I’ll sometimes wonder how

Drowning in these thoughts

Not relevant to now

I

Begin to entertain

That I can go away

Run and hide

Why

Do I fail at everything?

And I mean all the things

Can’t get it right

And in this moment here

Of feeling everything

Paralyzed by fear

Feel nothing can be changed

And I

Have to start acknowledging the pain

And waking from the slumber that I’m in

And I

Can no longer just turn my head

Ignoring everyone who feels the same

I

I’m good at losing things

And that means everything

I don’t know why

We

We’re living in these unkind times

Let’s somehow find a way to live again

Original Dance Pop Song – Last Sunset

Original Dance Pop Song – Last Sunset

This original dance pop song took a while as I dug into some additional mixing and mastering techniques. The great thing is, I learned a lot and want to give a shout out to two really helpful producers you can find on Why Logic Pro Rules and Musician on a Mission. Both of these folks are great resources and I recommend them highly.

I remixed and re-uploaded the track because it failed the crappy car stereo test. (Lesson learned – don’t just rely on your home studio speakers). If for some reason, the track doesn’t load below, you can find it here.

NOTE: I have deleted again. Will re-upload when it is ready.

About the original dance pop song. (I’m not absolutely certain of the genre really.) The idea was sparked as I watched a documentary about how the sun will eventually give out and it got me thinking that we all have a last sunset in our lives and to cherish the moments we have when we realize that. I take pictures of sunsets all the time where I live as they are particularly spectacular — and I believe that anyone can appreciate the beauty of a sunset wherever they are.

I really hope you enjoy this original dance pop song – and I also hope you forgive my repeating the phrase incessantly. [The WordPress plugin tells me I need to do it.]

LYRICS — LAst Sunset — An Original Dance Pop Song

No such thing as tomorrow

There’s nothing left to say

We’re drifting in the silence

And waiting on the day

Not ready for an ending

It wasn’t overlooked

These changes happen quickly

We tried the best we could

Well I can only smile now

At the silence of our past

But everything’s forgiven

We thought it would all last

It’s time to take a deep breath

As I try to understand

The time we had together

Was the best I ever had

As we sit here by the ocean

Watching stars fall into sea

Don’t know what we’ve set in motion

Is this the last sunset we’ll see?

It’s time to say goodbye now

Didn’t know it’d be so hard

We’re watching the world shut down

The earth beneath us scarred

I’m over being hopeful

And trying to begin

Accepting it’s all over

That the world’s at an end

As we sit here by the ocean

Falling stars from sea to sea

Don’t know what we’ve set in motion

Is this the last sunset we’ll see?

Well As we sit here by the ocean

While stars fall into sea

I can only feel devotion

To the memories we keep

As we sit-here by the ocean

Watching tears fall into sea

When everything it feels so broken

Is this the last song that we’ll sing

As we sit here by the ocean

Watching stars fall into sea

Don’t know what we’ve set in motion

The last sunset we’ll ever see
